Quinoa is a grain crop, native to the Andean region and has been cultivated in many countries including India, Kenya, the United States and several European countries. Quinoa seeds are rich in fiber, Protein, B vitamins, vitamin E and minerals such as manganese, magnesium, phosphorus, and Iron. Recently It has gained popularity as a super food, but it has been used for thousands of years in South America.
There are three types of Quinoa seeds. White, Red, and Black. Quinoa has a subtle nutty taste and can be used in baking or as a breakfast grain. It can be used in salad, smoothie, breakfast porridge, burger, cookies, energy bar etc.
